CLARE PR DELIVERS COVID-19 ADVICE IN CONSTRUCTION NEWS MAGAZINE
Like many PR and marketing specialists, we’re so focused on raising the profile of our clients here at Clare PR that we rarely spend time placing our own content in the media.
But COVID-19 has changed everything. It’s a situation none of us have ever faced before and businesses have not only been struggling to balance the wellbeing of their staff with their company’s commercial health; they’ve also been struggling to communicate through the crisis.
As marketing professionals, we can’t help tackle the pandemic as key workers, but we have been able to step up to help the construction sector with some constructive advice. The best way to reach as many companies as possible was through the media they turn to for information, which is why we offered a comments piece on communicating during the pandemic to Construction News.
The magazine published our advice to help steer construction businesses in the right direction. All too often, when faced with challenging times, companies retreat from communicating with stakeholders because they don’t know what to say or how to deliver unpalatable news. Our advice is that, during a crisis of any kind, good communication is more important than ever. And during this crisis, when we are all physically isolated, the need to connect during this once in a lifetime, challenging experience and prepare for the recovery ahead is even more compelling.
